There is a Spirit of bravery rising up. A brave breed of of pioneers are rising up onto the scene. People who will not stand nor stay for the status quo, but a group of people, hungering after the more. A company of people who are thirsting for the quenching waters of the Holy Spirit. They are crying out the prayers of Jabez for the Lord of Hosts to send them increase and harvest in every way.
There is new beginning that the Holy Spirit is bringing forth upon the earth! Do you not perceive it? The age of reformation is over and now there is a new beginning ahead. But who will rise up to the occasion and to the day of opportunities?
We are nearing the days of remembrance and commemoration of the Jewish feast and holiday, Hanukkah. This was a supernatural time where a group of people, known as the Maccabees, stood up in a fierce warrior Spirit. They had enough of the wickedness and corruption of the rule they were in and they take a brave stand! They took a stand for what was right. In a time where Jews were being stripped of all of their moral identities, rights, and historical traditions, the Maccabees led a virtuous revolt against the Seleucid Empire. In a time where their temple was erroneously desolated and desecrated, they took a stand as sons and fathers of the land, to protect their people and their future.
They led a holy war and revolt against the people and the principalities that stood in the way of their liberation. They faced them head on. While there was only a handful of Jewish skirmishers against the most advanced of weapons and technology and armies of the day, there was a divine miracle that manifested.
The Holy Spirit anointed this small group of Jewish citizens to annihilate their enemies. God had made a statement alright! God had made a statement through this small army of less than 10,000 men! Once again, God did a David and Goliath miracle. Once again God multiplied the widow’s oil and canceled the overwhelming burden of debt! Once again, God took the five loaves of bread and the two fishes and fed the masses with His child-like simplicity.
It was during this holy war, that the menorah, stood burning for eight whole days! This was a miracle. It was said, that the people only had enough oil for one day’s worth of light. However, the Holy Spirit had supernaturally caused this one day’s measure to be multiplied for seven more days! The oil in the menorah had burned for eight whole days straight! This was a supernatural sign that the Lord was anointing the people and blessing them with victory! This was a sign, that the Lord of Hosts was releasing His oil and strength amongst them! This was a sign for new beginnings!
The number eight in the Hebrew generally stands for, ‘New Beginnings!” Though the Maccabees stood through the darkest of nights and fought in an impossible war, they experienced a new beginning. Get ready for your God’s new beginning to dawn upon you! Get ready for the Lord of Hosts to light up the passions of your life again. Get ready for the Holy Spirit to multiply your efforts and your strengths again. Your one days‘ worth of sowing and toiling is not in vain! The Lord is about to give you the increase! The Lord will cause you to grow. The Lord will cause you to burn forth His light of new beginnings!
The Menorah is one of the most celebrated Jewish symbols to this day. It literally represents the miraculous people of Israel. Most menorahs are made and noted to having seven lamps. Seven lamps which stands for God’s seven days of creation. Seven lamps which stand for the seven burning Spirits of God. (Isaiah 11:2) Seven lamps which stand for a wholeness of completion and a cycle of perfection. However, the Menorah of Hanukkah has eight lamps!
The Lord is releasing a fresh revelation of new beginnings! The Lord is illuminating the Church with fresh insight and faith to beam bright in the darkest of days. You may have been facing grave darkness and difficulties, but the eight-branched Menorah is shining hope through you! His hope shall not burn out, it will burn bright through the night! The eight-branched Menorah is going to illuminate a new beginning of Christ through you!
In fact, the Menorah prophetically represents Jesus, the light of the world. Jesus is the golden lamp in the temple of God and He is the burning lamp of new beginnings! Jesus is your light of new life!
“And if anybody be in Christ Jesus, he is a new creation. The old has gone and the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:7)
However it takes a righteous boldness to break out into the renaissance of new beginnings! It takes a holy discomfort to rattle the cage and the shake the nest of normalcy. It takes a Spirit of boldness to see a new beginning birthed! The Maccabees were a radical bunch. However, they rather chose to risk their lives then to stay stagnant in becoming a people, who were like sheep to the slaughter. They would rather risk it all for the sake of a better life; for the sake of a better hope; for the sake of a true liberation, and for the sake of a new beginning.
These brave warriors to a stand for freedom rather than being a slave of misery. Are you a slave or are you a master? Are you bewitched or are you becoming new? Don’t be fooled church. The Lord is wanting to do something new with you and within you in this time! Do not fall back to the days of yesterday. The Lord is about to raise up His
Gideons army of 300 to start a holy revolution on the Earth.
There was a majority of Jews who were complacent and didn’t want to change. They enjoyed the deceptive delicacies of being like the other nations and they rather chose to live like the pagans rather than in their original purpose. This was a time-frame of Biblical silence as historically recorded in the Torah. There was no prophetic revelation after the book of Malachi and this in-between-time was a valley of decision before the Gospel of Matthew began.
It was in this place of waiting that the people laid restraint of God’s prophetic visions. It was in this in-between-time that the Jewish people settled for less in this 400 year period of waiting.
Are you settling for less in this in-between, waiting time? How much longer must you wait? What have you been waiting for? How much longer must you stay in the dark?
It is time for you to transition. It is time for your light to shine and for your menorah to burn bright with the new beginnings of Christ!
BURNING LAMP STANDS OF HOPE
The Messiah is looking for burning lamp stands of hope in this hour. In this American soil and in this historical hour, the Holy Spirit is looking for churches, people, and voices to stand up and to burn bright in radical holiness, zeal, and boldness. People who will not bow down to the gods of Egypt and to the false political spirits of the day. People who will not wine and dine with the gods of Babylon and would rather choose to eat in the wilderness, like John the Baptist. The Lord is looking for people whom He can trust to burn through the darkest of nights!
Hope is on the way! Help is on the way! Hold on! The Lord is backing you up! Hold on! The Lord is the oil which will cause you to burn! And bright you shall burn!
The enemy wants to dim and darken you, but the Lord wants you to arise and to shine! (Isaiah 60:1) The Lord is calling out His radical Maccabee warriors to take a stand of righteousness in these days.
Who will stand? Who will go? Who will be a burning lamp of hope in this hour? Who will be a burning Menorah, that will display the eight branches of glory? Who will be a prophetic sign of new beginnings?
Wherever the church is present, there is hope manifest. Wherever there is a praying people, there is hope. Wherever the Bible is read, there is hope. There is hope for you, for you are entering in new beginnings!
