This weekend, from March 11-12 is a very significant time and season of festivities.
People tend to say that Purim is a lesser Jewish holiday. However, I will conclude to differ and say that the significance of this holiday is enormous!
Purim means, ‘the Feast of Lots’. It is a time of beckoning and decision-making. It is a time of the lots of Heaven being released, to properly take choice and consideration of what is the Lord’s righteous doing. It is a time of the hard decisions being made; the Lord’s great gavel of justice releasing jurisdiction and vindication for His people.
The partnership and teamwork of Esther and her uncle Mordecai was unprecedented. This divine partnership foiled and failed the plans of the enemy! This partnership brought the things that were hidden, into light. It brought the secrets out into revelation.
Mordecai had an ear to hear. He heard the whispers and secrets. He heard the mysteries of what was hidden. He heard the rumors of what was murmured in the enemy’s camp and he had the wisdom to execute the proper response to overcome it. Esther also heeded these words and followed the instruction of her uncle Mordecai.
What would’ve been the Israelites’ massacre turned out to be Israelites’ greatest miracle! What could’ve been a very negative situation, God turned over into victoriously positive salutation.
We are called to be co-partners and co-heirs with Christ. Co-partners with Christ and with one another; this is the Kingdom reality.
THE BLESSINGS OF PURIM
In this Purim season, I declare the Lord will double and increase your partnerships. The Lord is releasing strategic and specific partnerships. He is into family, teamwork, and the reality of divine unity. He is releasing to you the Spirit of divine partnership.
The Lord is restoring you your identity, prominence, and position. The Lord is restoring all of which that may be stolen. The Lord is restoring to you the very things which the enemy tried to divert in your life.
God wants to use you to destroy the works of the enemy. God wants to use you so that you will be a beacon of shining light to those areas of great darkness.
Purim is about restoration. It is about celebrating the God who not only saves and delivers, but the God who restores to not just thirty, sixty, but over one-hundred fold!
We celebrate Purim because of these two-fold purposes:
1) Remembering the defeat of Haman of the Amalekites, the enemy of the Jews. It is about remembering how Jesus had defeated and crushed the head of the serpent at the head of Golgotha. It is about remembering how the Lord had taken complete dominion over the spirit of death and all of its stinging infirmities and implications. It is about remembering how the victory has been made sure and complete for the rest of eternity. There is no one like our God! Death is defeated and all of God’s enemies are now made to be a footstool under our feet!
2) Secondly, celebrating Purim is about receiving Christ’s full restoration and restitution. Restitution is more than restoration; it is holy recompense. It is an extra payment, voucher, and amends for the loss and harm for what had happened. It is an orderly compensation and an honoring reward to further make things better than it ever once was before.
“The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing.” (Exodus 12:35)
So Haman got the robe and the horse. He robed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, “This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!” (Esther 6:11)
The king took off his signet ring, which he had reclaimed from Haman, and presented it to Mordecai. And Esther appointed him over Haman’s estate. (Esther 8:2)
The king’s edict granted the Jews in every city the right to assemble and protect themselves; to destroy, kill and annihilate the armed men of any nationality or province who might attack them and their women and children, and to plunder the property of their enemies (Esther 8:11)
Celebrating Purim is about celebrating the God of plunder! Are you ready to plunder the enemy? Are you ready to plunder the inheritance, rewards, spoils, and blessings that rightfully belong to you? What is it that you want to specifically plunder?
Is it land, property, riches, wisdom, health, peace, ideas, relationships? All of these and much more will become your plunder if you believe it. Be specific for the lots of the Lord have fallen in your favor.
Get ready for the Purim of the Lord. Get ready for God’s divine favor and restitution!
Celebrate by feasting with joyous celebration. Celebrate by sending generous gifts to one another, far and near. Celebrate for the Lord has turned your sorrow into joy!
The golden scepter of the King is stretched out before you, for such a time as this!
Celebrate the King of glory and receive His gracious plunder, in this divine season of Purim!
