His Way – The Gift and Ministry of Encouragement
Deuteronomy 1 & 3:21-29
The gift and ministry of encouragement is one that is most needed, not just in the Body of Christ but as well in the world.
If we’re ever wanting to see disciples produced, then we need to be encouragers. We need to know how to put courage inside of people. Being a leader and obeying and continuing on in life takes courage.
If we’re ever wanting to commission leaders and see the next generation be produced into the giant killing giants that God has ordained them to be, then we, this generation, must encourage the next! We must speak into and love by showing them the love and power of God.
We can’t be hypocrites. They need to see us living it and seeing it done.
That word there, encourage in Hebrew is Chazak – Meaning to strengthen, to make strong. It is used most in 2 Chronicles and then in Nehemiah. And that makes sense because in 2 Chronicles you see the people of God strengthening the Kingdoms and in Nehemiah, building up the walls of Jerusalem once again.
So if you’re ever wanting to build something for the last run, to last, then we need to chazak. We need to encourage.
If we’re wanting to build up the Body of Christ, then we need to encourage one another. Because it is a battle of life and death.
1 Timothy 1:18-19
Prophecy is meant to be kept in our lives and we are meant to walk hand in hand with it, like a guide in all we do. Because in the darkest of times, words of prophecies can and will manifest hope and light into our lives.
There’s been so many people, even in the Word of God that needed encouragement and that is what literally saved their lives and offices.
SUICIDES & DEATHS
There are so many suicides and many people are out there in depression and feeling lost and alone because they don’t have a family or even a single person to say a good thing to them, to encourage them. Now there’s a difference with sympathy and empathy. We must have both. But what we’re doing, is because we have faith, love, and hope, because we have Jesus and we’re thinking from a higher realm, we’re giving them and speaking them from above, not to say that we’re higher or anything, but because we have jesus the Source.
So we’re able to speak life into people and see them change and form.
Every word that is spoken and written by the Holy Ghost is meant to encourage! The prophets are meant to encourage.
– David – Jonathan
– Saul and Barnabas
- God meet and encourages Gideon
- Priest Eli – Samuel
- Jesus and 12 DisciplesWe need to be Barnabas figures to this world. We are all sons and daughters of Encouragement, where whatever we do and say will bring courage to people.
Do you have people to truly, genuinely love and encourage you to bring the best out of you?
Courage and encouragement is contagious.
