His Way – Thy Kingdom Series – Throne Room of God // Father’s Day Special
We are sitting on the throne with God. He is our Father.
Our Father has an inheritance for us.
He is teaching every single one of us to exercise authority and to experience that and to subdue and take dominion.
Psalm 89:14 – “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.”
Psalm 97:2 – “Cloud and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.”
Remember, this is a throne of grace and mercy. It’s a throne of holiness.
But the foundations of God’s throne is righteousness and justice. What does that mean? It’s always perfect. It’s always right. It’s always just. It’s never evil. It never has vice or deceit. The foundations of God’s Kingship, rulership is always upright and best. It’s always done consistently, without partiality, and without prejudice. It is always right and fair. His actions towards us are in perfect agreement to His holy nature.
So in His righteousness, He adopted us and brought us into His fold. He took us up from the pits of Hell, from being orphaned, unloved, without inheritance, without identity, lost in darkness, and He brought us into the Kingdom of the Son He loves.
Remember, His Kingdom is of love. It is of love!
So when we are brought into His fold, we’re brought into His goodness, kindness, righteousness, richness, vastness, glory.
Why? Because He’s a good Father.
Yes He’s the King of Kings and His Kingdom has no end, but He is also our Father. Is the Father of Lights. He is the Father of love. He is the one whom has created all things and made us in His holy image.
Jesus, the Son of God, the Savior of the world, the Christ, the messiah, the one who is the firstborn over all creation is sitting on the throne and is at the right hand of God.
Mark 16:9 – “After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.”
Of David. A psalm. The LORD says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
Why? Because He’s made a covenant. He’s made a promise. If we’re His children then we belong to Him and we are of Him.
If we’re in Him and He’s in us, then we’re one. We’re His Body and He’s the Head. We’re on the throne with Him.
We live rightly and we live as kings because we’re on the throne by grace and through faith. Because our Heavenly Father has saved us and raised us up and brought us to the realization of who we are in Him. He does everything is justice and righteousness and love and faithfulness goes before Him.
To many, He may seem to be a King of majesty, a king of justice, a king of judgement and of power. But to us, He is also an intimate Father. He is a father of love, grace, kindness, and compassion. He’s a Father of love who’s brought us close so that we may be like Him and rule and reign like Him and with Him.
Why? Because He’s a Good Father. And it’s always been his good will and intention that we would be together since the beginning of time, since before creation began.
